As parents, we can make drawing fun and easy for our little ones by starting early and keeping it simple. 2. Easy Ant Drawing for Kids : Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Outline the Body

Use a compass or any round object to outline three circles. Draw two bigger circles with a smaller circle in the middle overlapping the bigger ones as shown in the image.

Step 2: Modify the tail

Now draw a pointed end over the last circle to create the ant’s tail end. Do this by erasing the outer line of the circle you drew before and complete those erased lines from the circle in an inverted U. Now the last big circle will look like an egg. Now erase the overlapping part of the middle circle to make the drawing look neater.

Step 3: Draw the face

Now draw two smaller circles next to each other over the first circle to form the ant’s eyes. Draw a smaller circle within each and shade it fully by leaving a tiny semi circle to make the eyes sparkle. Then draw a curved line within the first circle to make the ant smile!

Step 4: Complete the body

Add two antennas coming up from both the eyes. Draw the antennas by drawing a straight line coming up and then curve to the side to form an inverted ‘L’ shape.

Now let’s draw the ant’s legs by drawing three lines coming out from the middle circle and then bending it downwards as shown in the image.

Final Touches

Add a splash of colour to bring your ant to life! You can colour your ant using crayons, coloured pencils, or markers. You can make your ant look ant or black.
