1.  A Basic List of Materials

  • Drawing Paper

2. Christmas Tree Drawing for kids: An easy step-by-step guide

Step 1: Draw the tree

Start by drawing an inverted V. Then, from both ends draw a zig-zag line on both sides. 

Join the two ends by making a curved line.

Step 2: Draw a pot and the trunk

 Draw two small lines from the base of the tree and join them.

To make a pot, make a small rectangle and from both sides, make two slant lines and join them by drawing a straight line.

Step 3: Let’s start with Decoration

Now, to make a star at the top of the tree. Make an inverted V, then from one end, make a straight line crossing the first line and then from there, make a straight horizontal line across the drawing ending at the other side. Then, draw a straight line back to your starting point.

Now, you have to make small slant lines on the tree.

Step 4: More Decoration

Now, draw small circles on various sides of the tree.

Step 5: How can we leave the pot?

 Make some curved lines and circles on the pot.

Step 6: Add colours

Now, it’s time to add colours to your Christmas tree. Add green to the tree and brown to the pot.

Final Touch

Erase extra lines that you have made while drawing a tree. You can add a border around the tree. Add more decorative items to the tree. Add small pieces of cotton around the tree. At the end, add glitter to the tree.

Tips and Tricks on cake drawing for kids

  • Trace the outline of the tree using a black sketch pen.
  • You can add presents around the tree.
  • In addition to the tree, you can make a Santa Claus or show snow around the tree. It will make your drawing more creative.
