2. Step-by-Step Guide for Drawing the Cow
Cows are amazing animals that live on farms and love to munch on green grass all day. They give us yummy milk, which we use to make delicious treats like ice cream and cheese. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you draw a beautiful cow:
Step 1: Draw the ovals.
Draw two straight lines, crossing each other in the middle like a big plus sign. Now, draw two ovals around the top and bottom parts of the lines, as shown in the picture. The ovals do not need to be perfectly symmetrical.
Step 2: Create the body parts.
Draw two small ovals on top of the head for the ears. Then, draw four oblong shapes for the legs: two in the front and two in the back, and make four parallelograms for the foot. Add a line down the middle of the face to guide the placement of the eyes, nose, and mouth later. Finally, draw a small oblong at the bottom of the body to create the tail.
Step 3: Add horns and facial details.
Above the forehead, draw two curved lines that will look like horns, one on each side. Under the forehead, draw two small circles for the eyes. Within each ear, add another arch shape, and at the tail’s end, draw a teardrop shape. Lastly, give the cow a smiling mouth.
Step 4: Modify.
Now, give the cow some funny hair on its head, that looks like a bunch of grass. Carefully erase any extra lines that are overlapping each other. Add two tiny circles in the middle of the face, just below the horizontal line, to represent the nose. Also, add a double lining inside the eyes to add depth.
Step 5: Draw the body patches.
Now, you can erase the plus sign lines and add some patterns or blob shapes all over the body of the cow. You can refer to the picture.
Step 6: Color it.
Now, color the cow using pink for the ears and nose area. Use brown for the body patches and horns. Add dark brown for the cow’s hair. For the eyes, use shades of black. You can play around with different shades of the same color family to make it more bright and beautiful.
Final Touches
While you are drawing, take your time and pay close attention to the details. Carefully erase any unwanted lines or marks to keep it looking neat. Get creative with colors, experiment using different shades of the same colors to make them look three-dimensional (like in the eyes). Use different shades of brown for various parts of the body patches. Feel free to adjust the shapes and sizes of the blobs or the horns of the cow, or maybe make the tail a little longer.
Once you have customized it to your liking, you will have a beautiful cow drawing you can be proud of. Don’t forget to pat yourself on the back for your hard work!
