2. Step-by-Step Guide to Draw a Cute Rainbow
Step 1: Draw a Cloud for the Rainbow
Draw a fluffy cloud at the bottom of your paper using curved lines. Make it as big as you want your rainbow to be. Clouds are soft and puffy, like giant cotton balls in the sky.
Step 2: Draw Another Cloud for the Rainbow
Now, draw another fluffy cloud next to the first one, but make it slightly far. Use the same curved lines to create its fluffy shape. These two clouds will hold up our rainbow together!
Step 3: Draw Four Lines for the Rainbow
Draw big four-curved lines starting from behind the first cloud, then gently curve it down towards the second cloud. These lines will be the outlines of our rainbow.
Step 4: Draw other Lines for the Rainbow
Draw three more curved lines. Add three more curved lines in between the previously drawn lines. These new lines will represent the colors that fall between the ones we have previously drawn.
Step 5: Adding Details and Outlines in Rainbow
To create a fluffy texture, draw dashed outlines inside each cloud. To add more detail, draw small circles inside the clouds, like two for the cloud’s eyes and one circle for the mouth. The mouth will look like the cloud is saying “Oh”.
For the second cloud you can change the eyes by making them look like a V but with a soft curve and facing in opposite directions.
To better define your rainbow’s arcs, outline them with a dashed line and small circles as shown in the picture. Extend short dashed lines from the top arc to represent rays or sparkles.
Final Touches
Grab some crayons or colored pencils. Start at the top of the rainbow with red. Then move on to orange, followed by yellow, green, blue, and purple for the final arc. Remember to color inside the lines to keep your drawing neat.
