These classes boost kids’ confidence and make them eager to learn about new things. Many International schools encourage their students to to perform in curricular activities. 1.  A Basic List of Materials

  • Drawing Paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Sharpener
  • Crayons or coloured pencils
  • Stable Drawing Surface

2. A step-by-step guide to Draw a Dolphin

Step 1: Draw an oval shape

First, take your drawing sheet and a pencil and draw a big oval shape. You can also refer to the picture above.

Step 2: Make a rough body structure

From one side of the oval, draw two curved lines from two different points and join them at the end. This will look like a triangle with curved sides. You now have a rough structure of how your dolphin will look.

Step 3: Draw tail, eyes and mouth

Now erase half of the oval from the side where you have drawn two lines.

Perfect! We are now going to make the tail of the dolphin, erase the joined line, and now you are left with two ends of the line. Make smooth curved lines that divide into two lobes( think of making two leaves in a symmetry).

You can refer to the image if you are having any confusion with the instructions.

Now it’s time to make the mouth of the dolphin. Mark a centre and make one long letter U and just below it, draw a small letter U. This will be the mouth (rostrum) of Dolphin.

For Eyes, make one big circle and draw a small circle inside it.

Step 4: Draw fins

Now it’s time to make dolphin fins. Draw one curved line outwards from the middle of the body, then move it inwards. Make sure it should be slightly pointed. It will look like a triangle but with no straight sides.

Try to do the same on the other side of the body.

Step 5: Erase the lines

Erase the small portion of curved line from the mouth, and join the line with the lips (rostrum).

Erase the line from both sides of the middle body( where you draw fins) and make a curved line inside the body above the lower fin.

Step 6: Add colours

It’s time to add colour to the dolphin. Colour the dolphin using sky blue colour or dark blue colour.

Final Touch

After completing your colouring, erase any extra lines you have made while drawing. Outline your drawing using colours to make it look more beautiful. Show a smile on a dolphin face. Make lines on dolphin fins, you can make lines using black sketch pen or using white colour.

And in the end, draw a square border using the black sketch pen.

Additionally, what you can do

  • You can use a black sketch pen after you have completed your drawing using a pencil. By doing this, your drawing will look more attractive.
  • You can add glitter to dolphin eyes and fins, this will make your drawing look more beautiful.
  •  You can show the water around the dolphin to make it look more creative.
  • Make a few more dolphins with waves around them, in addition to this make a boat through which people are looking out for dolphins.
