2.Step-by-Step Guide to Draw a Fish

Step 1 : Step1: Draw the outline of the fish

Start by drawing a leaf-like shape which is broader on one end and narrow towards the other end as shown in the image. This is the outline for the body of the fish.

Step 2 : Step 2: Complete the outline

Now draw a curved line within the outline to mark the face of the fish. Then draw another slightly curved line from the face to the other end of the fish’s body.

Step 3 : Draw the fins and tail of the fish

Draw a little triangle shape underneath the curved line you drew within the fish’s body. Give the triangle round edges. Now draw another fin on top of the fish’s body as shown in the image. Now let’s give our fish a tail!  To draw the tail for your fish, create two leaf-like shapes extending from the body. Start by drawing a curved line that extends from the back of the fish’s body, making it narrow towards the end to form one half of the tail. Then, repeat the same process on the other side to create symmetry.

Step 4 : Draw the face

Let’s give our fish a happy face! Start by drawing a curved line to form the fish’s mouth (Give your fish a smile!). To draw the eye of the fish, draw a circle within the face and then draw another smaller circle within the bigger circle. To make the eye twinkle, leave a tiny semi circle at the edge of the eye and shade the rest of it.

Step 5 :  Give the fish more details

Now give the  fish’s body more details by drawing lines within the fins and the tail. Then draw three circles in the lower half of the body starting with a bigger circle and then smaller and smaller ones. Lastly, draw three ‘U’ shapes within the upper half of the fish’s body as shown in the image.

Final Touches

Go over your drawing, erasing any unnecessary lines and refining any details. And don’t forget to add a splash of color to bring your fish to life!  You can color your fish using crayons, colored pencils, or markers. Get creative with patterns and colors your fish can be any color you imagine!

Done! Now take a step back and admire your masterpiece.
