2. Stepwise tutorial on Santa Claus Drawing

Step1: Outline the head

Start by drawing a straight line in the middle of the page for reference. Now draw a rectangular shape with the line crossing through the middle of it. Make sure the rectangular shape is not sharp, make the edges rounded and make the top of the rectangle curvy.

Step 2: Draw the body

Now a horizontal line under the head, and make the line a little longer than the width of the head. Connect this line to the head by drawing a slanting line on both sides. This will be the lower body or you can call it Santa’s shirt.

Next, draw a smaller rectangle with rounded edges inside the head. This will be Santa Claus’ face!

Step 3: Draw the face and body

Now let’s give our Santa a happy face. Draw two big bold dots inside the rectangular face for eyes. Draw a small curved line underneath the rectangular shape to mark his smile. Then, draw another rectangular shape with round edges right above the face as shown in the image.

Move down the body and give the old man two hands. Make one of them upright like he’s waving at you and the other one hanging down. Draw a longer and leaner rectangle with rounded edges underneath his shirt.

Step 4: Draw more details

Now let’s give him more details. Start with the face and eyebrows over his eyes by drawing two small rectangles.

Have you ever seen Santa without his hat? That’s right! So give your Santa a nice little hat too. Draw a small circle at the top of the hat.

Next, complete his arms by drawing two rectangles with round edges at the end of each arm, this will be the sleeves of his dress. Then draw his hands as shown in the image.

Give his dress more details by drawing two parallel lines running down from his bear in the middle of his body. Now draw a small square with round edges within those two lines to form his belt.

Move further down and draw his legs. First draw four lines coming out of his dress, then give Santa his boots. Make sure the boots have pointed toes by drawing sharp semi-circles at the edges.

Step 5: Finishing up!

We’re almost done! Draw two more parallel horizontal lines on either side of his belt. This will resemble a plus sign. Now finally, draw a big sack which holds all the gifts and chocolates that Santa is going to give you!

Draw a rounded triangle shape to form the sack. Then draw an U shape with a closed top as shown in the image to complete the sack.

Final Touches

Don’t forget to add a splash of color to bring your Santa to life! You can color your Santa using crayons, colored pencils, or markers. You can even add a few gift boxes around him.
