  • Stable Drawing Surface

2. Step-by-Step Guide on Birds Drawing for Kids

Step 1: Draw the Outer Body

Draw a curved line bending towards the right and then make a digit “3” shape.

Step 2: Draw the Outer Body with Tail and Feet

After drawing the shape of the digit “3”, curve the line towards the right and bring it back towards the left until it joins the starting point. From the back of the outer body of the bird, draw a long, wiggly line resembling the letter “W” for the bird’s tail, making it twisty. Below the outer body, draw two feet of the bird in structures of the alphabet “W”

Step 3: Draw Nostril and Feathers

Inside the outer body of the bird, draw a small oval or circle near the top of the beak to represent the parrot’s nostril. Add a wavy line on the body. These are the feathers that make the bird look fluffy!

Step 4: Draw Beak and Eyes

At the front of the mouth, draw a pointy shape like a “D” or a half circle. This is the bird’s beak, where it eats from. Make a dot or a tiny circle for the eye on the head. Then, make a tiny dot for the nostril on the beak.

Step 5: Adding Colour

Birds come in lots of colours, like red, green, blue, and yellow. You can colour your birds drawing any way you like!

Final Touches

Let’s wrap up your bird drawing with some easy tweaks. Add a few more lines and shading to the feathers to make them pop. For the background, keep it simple with a basic barn or a grassy field. You might want to add a nest, or a sun in the sky for a nice touch. These simple touches will really bring your drawing together. Awesome job on your bird drawing!
