- Drawing paper

2. Guide for Easy Animal Drawing for Kids
Step 1: Draw the face and body of the sheep
Take out your drawing sheet and, with the pencil, draw a circle in the centre of the sheet.
To make the face of the animal(sheep), draw a small oval shape passing through the circle. Make sure you are placing this oval at the front side of the circle. You can refer to the image.
Step 2: Draw sheep fur and eyes
- Now, trace the circle and make small curved lines(think of letter U) in continuity( Remember, you have to make them all over the circle). This will be the fur of the sheep.
- To make eyes on the face, make two small circles in the oval.
Step 3: Make the legs of the sheep
- First, we are going to erase the outline of the circle which we drew in step 1.
- Now, it is time to make the legs of the animal( sheep), draw four short straight lines below the body and, similarly,draw the other four lines at the back.
- For the tail, draw an oval shape from the back of the body, which will resemble an egg.
- Now, to make fur head make a small cloud on the top of the head.
Step 4: Draw ears
- Draw two small oval shapes on the sides of the head.
- To make feets, first, join the ends of the line that we used to make legs and then on the ends of all four legs draw a small letter W.
- To make eyes more attractive, draw a small circle inside the circle you have made in Step 2.
Step 5: Make a snout
Below the head, draw a C shape and extend it by making the letter V. To make the tongue, draw a U-shaped line on the outline of the face.

Make a spiral design on the body of the sheep.
Step 6: Add colours
Now, it’s time to add colour to your drawing.
Add a blue colour to the body of the sheep and a light pink colour to the face and legs.
And for the tongue go for red colour.
Final Touches
With the help of green colour, draw grass near the sheep and make a small circle a little above the sheep to show the sun and colour it with yellow. Draw zig-zag lines using blue colour in the body of the sheep. At the end, draw a square border around the drawing.
Additionally, what you can do
- Take a black sketch pen and trace the outline of the sheep. This will make your drawing look more neat.
- You can make your sheep colour in full white.
- You can also add small cotton pieces to the body of the sheep.
- You can show a forest scene with other animals in it.
